Foster - Nashville Pug Rescue

Please read the foster agreement terms before proceeding:

*You understand and agree that the foster animal belongs to the rescue.

*You agree to follow and honor our wishes when it comes to medical care.

*You agree to welcome this animal into your home and into your family just like this animal were you own.

*You understand that the rescue covers all medical costs incurred by the foster animal.

*You understand that you provide the home, the love and the food.

*You understand that we will allow you to be as active as possible in the adoption process, but the final word on approval/denial of an adoption application is ours.

*We understand that we are putting a living, breathing family member into your home. Once you have been approved to foster, you’re also approved to adopt. We will not ever take that lightly. You are always welcome to adopt your foster at any time, should you and your family get attached (we love it when this happens).

*You agree to abide by the same rules and expectations of an adoptive family while foster is in your care.

Every foster must have an approved home visit. Are you okay with a representative of the rescue coming to your home? *

Are you willing to give your new pet the proper vet care they need for the life of the pet, or surrender the animal back to the rescue if the time comes when such care cannot be provided? *

Every foster will be finalized by a foster contract. Below are some expectations that we require. Are you willing to agree to the things listed below? The contract will list the rest. *

No electric/invisible fencing or shock collars of any type, ever
Not left outside anytime, unsupervised at all (you are outside with them at all times)
Never left in an unattended car
Using a Harness in place of a collar (preventing trachea issues)
Animal MUST be returned to rescue in the event that the family can no longer care for the animal
Animal will live in the home
Won’t be left in kennel for extended periods of time
Won’t hit or strike the animal for any reason

How much time are you willing to give your new pet to adjust to his/her new environment? (barking, house training, etc.) *

We never foster out any animal as “Housetrained.” Just as it takes time for you to learn your new animal's routines, it will take time for them to learn yours. We will, however, be as upfront and honest as possible as to how the pet has been doing. Are you willing to be patient and work with them as they get settled in? *
