Nashville Pug Rescue was created in early 2017 after other pug rescues that covered the Nashville area closed. Cindy had volunteered with Pug Plantation for several years before they closed and knew there was a need for a Rescue in Nashville. Having two pugs of her own, Cindy had started the Nashville Pugs Facebook group in 2014 so her pugs would have other pugs to play with. She met Kerri, and her pugs Steve and Sofi, through the group and Kerri’s love of pugs and her desire to help pugs any way she could made her the perfect partner to join Cindy in getting the Rescue started. Kerri had volunteered with Music City Pug Rescue before it closed in 2010 and she joined the Board to bring more experience to the team. We received approval of our 501(c)(3) status in 2018 and are in the process of expanding our Board of Directors and building relationships within the community so we’re able to help more pugs everyday.
